CCK Global Events had experience producing major consumer shows but NYC Pet Show was their first time entering the pet industry. They needed a team who knew the industry to secure media coverage including pre, live, and post show coverage, secure official show media partners and handle all public relations for their first-ever consumer show in the pet industry. They turned to Impetus to help promote the show and make it a success.
Our team members created all marketing materials including media advisories, press releases, social media postings and e-blasts relating to the Show. We built lists of key media in the pet industry as well as local NYC through a media monitoring service. We distributed announcements leading up to the Show about certain events, presentations, and exhibitors. We leveraged the celebrity guest appearance by Animal Planet’s Dog Whisperer, Cesar Millan as an opportunity to invite media to an exclusive meet-and-greet during the Show. We conducted media training for Show representative, coordinated live media interviews with Show representative and exhibitors and took pictures and HD video for post-show submission and coverage.
NYC PET SHOW took place at the Metropolitan Pavilion in Manhattan. Over the weekend, thousands of pet lovers and their furry companions came out to the show. This consumer pet show far exceeded expectations and took in over 3,500 pet enthusiasts and hundreds of tail-wagging dogs throughout the weekend. Media coverage spread across all outlets including print, radio, and broadcast. Including local and national coverage from Good Morning America, MSNBC, People PETS, Martha Stewart Radio, AOL’s Paw Nation and more.
